Autumn

Autumn flowering clematis

Autumn flowering clematis make an essential contribution to prolonging the life of the garden by providing interest and colour as the growing season for many other plants winds down.

Many of these clematis varieties typically bloom from late summer through to October and some produce attractive seed heads which will stay on the plants during most of the winter. Autumn flowering clematis flower on the current season’s stems and should be hard pruned each spring.
